As Christmas approaches, we would once again like to turn OTLEY into the snowman centre of Yorkshire, England and the world by asking you to build friendly snowmen, snow women and snow children in every business in Otley… Rules for Businesses The snow people can be either made from wood, paper, bed sheets, in fact anything you want to use. Let your thoughts go free and, if you want to build a snow family, the more, the merrier. It doesn’t matter how big or small your snowman is as long as you place it in your window. No business needs to be left out, it’s Christmas, the time to be jolly! To register, please fill in your details on the form to the right of this page. It is FREE to enter your business into the Otley Snowman Trail. Entries must be in by Friday 15th November 2024. Entries made after this date will not feature in the booklet but will be added to the online trail map. Before the 1st December, you will be sent an Otley Snowman Trail sign to be displayed on your window (A6 size) to show that you are part of the town centre Snowman Trail. Some shops will be given a letter to go on or near the snowman. The public will be asked to find the letters and spell a simple Christmas message before returning their entry to me. All the winning entries will be put into a draw and one winner will be drawn out. The trail will run from Sunday 1st December until Wednesday 18th December. The public will also be asked to vote for its favourite snowman and the winning shop will get a small prize. If you require any other information, please feel free to contact us. If you would like to have an advert in the Otley Snowman Trail booklet to promote your local business and wish your customers a Merry Christmas, please either pay by BACS or enclose a cheque with a printed entry form to Otley Snowman Trail, 6 Pearson’s Buildings, Otley, LS21 3BQ and send your advert/text/images to [email protected] so we can create your advert and get your approval before the booklet is printed. All adverts have to be ready to print by Friday 15th November at the very latest.
